Hestra began in 1936 in the small Swedish town of Hestra, when founder Martin Magnusson started making durable leather gloves for local forest workers. Since then, the company has been run by the Magnusson family, who today carry on the proud tradition of shoemaking and glove-making into its fourth generation. Hestra’s philosophy is rooted in a deep understanding of the hands’ need for protection, functionality, and insulation in the Scandinavian climate.
